Cows

I became a grass farmer when I learned that cows were designed by Mother Nature to eat grass, not grain. Cows, sheep, and goats are ruminants.  They convert the sun’s energy stored in plants into meat, milk, and muscle.  I love cows. Here is a slide show of Ayla giving birth to April on April 16, 2009.  Ayla was half Red Angus and half Devon. She was bred to David of Fox Hill Farm, a pure-bred Devon. April is three quarters Devon.
